Characteristics/My Take

Elizabeth is the type of woman who knows how to be polite to your face while hiding her true opinion. She is quick witted and is a good judge of character, a trait that is very important to her. Unlike her sisters, she regards her virtue highly and would never be caught in an act of impropriety. And despite pressure to marry for convenience, Elizabeth hopes to marry for love. It is her intelligence and wit that has earned her the "favorite daughter" title from her father while her mother disagrees and makes a point of comparing her to her sisters. To me, she sounds like a proper lady who make an excellent friend and confidant, especially in troubled times. I think she would have great advice to share.
