As a continuation of last week's post which listed many of the character's from my recently released novel Queen of Swords, I am going to go over some of the key places and events that bring Azulyria alive. Fantasy World-building There are so many key components to consider when creating a world from your imagination. Some of these elements could include climate, religion, government, currency, agriculture, industry, language, special events or holidays, and so on. depending on how important these details are to your story, you may only briefly touch on some of them, or go into great detail with others. Here are this week's new page and word counts. It seems that I make more progress on one novel over the other. It helps me out by focusing on one each week. My other WIP still gets my attention, but one always has a larger jump over the other. By switching my focus back and forth, I feel like I am getting more accomplished each week. This week's Character Brief is going to be a little different than my usual literary highlight. I am going to talk about a set of wonderful characters that have brought my novel Queen of Swords to life. These are the creations of my imagination that tell a story of anger, revenge, trust, and redemption. Please enjoy learning more about the folks that bring my story to life. I am sticking to main characters and some minor characters that move the plot. Characters: Ivyssa Hedarian wild child who has been chosen to be the next Queen of Swords and ruler of Azulyria. She is opinionated, loves archery, and is willing to accept the hand dealt to her with grace. Age 15. Shar Cedara One of the 5 Shards of Azulyria. She is in charge of the facet of the northern facet Arbouroth. The Shards are healers, master's of ceremonies, and act as the eyes and ears for the sitting Queen of Swords.
